Good Design Award in Japan A&D

	The UM-101 mercury-free sphygmomanometer has won a Good Design Award in Japan

	We are proud to announce that our mercury-free sphygmomanometer, the UM-101, has won a Good Design Award in Japan.
	The Good Design Award is intended to encourage manufacturers to make excellent use of "good design" in order to open up and expand new areas of business. It is Japan's only comprehensive design and evaluation system with a distinguished history dating back to 1957, and this year was the 50th anniversary of the competition which saw our UM-101 entered in the "medical device equipment" category.
	Examiners screened a wide range of participants and selected our model as a winner in various categories. Their comments regarding the UM-101 are as follows: This device impressed us in a variety of ways. It is an extremely user-friendly device and most importantly, this non-mercury device is completely safe for users. It incorporates a swing column for better visibility of its LCD display and its operation and precision are identical to the mercury sphygmomanometer. Detailed R&D methods have resulted in this original design and a creative product, which is completely user-friendly. We have awarded the UM-101 this high honour due to its innovative design and at the same time it provides a completely safe alternative to the mercury sphygmomanometer.
	This is yet another breakthrough for our UM-101 which we would like to promote worldwide.
