Nowadays increasing numbers of people monitoring blood pressure at home successfully. Many doctors recommend taking BP measurement at home, at least once a day or multiple times depending on the patient.
But are you sure you are using the proper cuff for your daily measurements?
Our upper arm monitors are designed to give you good readings as long as the cuff is used within certain arm sizes. If your arm size exceeds the cuff range parameter, it may give you off readings. In general, there are tendencies of readings in use of improper cuffs.
Your arm is bigger than the cuff range -It is called as "small cuff effect" and readings tend to be higher.
Your arm is smaller than the cuff range -It is called as "large cuff effect" and readings tend to be lower.
