The Powder Technology Exhibition was held in Osaka from October 16th to 19th 2007 report

Since this is the only exhibition in Japan that features products related to powders and particles, observers came from all around Japan and from many neighboring Asian countries.

Among the many products exhibited were powder grinding mills, classifiers, mixers, briquetting machines, feeding devices, instrumentation equipment and measurement devices.This year nanometer particle briquetting machines and measurement devices were particularly prevalent, with their uses and special features being demonstrated with videos or in seminars.

Nanometer particles are increasing in value because they are made with cutting edge technology and this attracted a considerable amount of attention.

At the A&D booth, the focus was on demonstrations of the Model Predictive Feeder Controller that is applicable for both batch feeding and continuous feeding.

A large number of people were attracted to A&D’s booth because the feeder utilized by the Model Predictive Controller is the first of its kind on the market.

Compared with the PID controller, which is the most used controller device today, the Model Predictive Controller has a higher level of stability and has a vibration disturbance cancellation function that makes it resilient against disturbance.As such, the Model Predictive Controller is appropriate for use in processes where the general PID controller experiences difficulty.

In fact, many people that visited A&D`s booth were surprised to observe that when disturbance was generated during demonstrations of the Model Predictive Controller, the device was not affected.
