The China Medical Equipment Fair (CMEF), which takes place every year in spring and autumn, was held in Zhengzhou from April 26th to 29th. Zhengzhou is one of the oldest provinces in central China, and has long been a hub of communication due to its strategic location as an access point to 10 different provinces.

The CMEF celebrated its 55th exhibition and continues to increase in scale year by year. It is currently one of the largest medical equipment shows in the world with 137,000m2 exhibition space, 1,770 exhibitors, and 47,000 buyers from 64 countries. Our booth was organized with the support of our sole Medical equipment agent in China, Shanghai Aixun Medical Equipment Co., Ltd, as well as our home healthcare sales staff in China (see photo below). We displayed our full line-up of home healthcare products including the TM-2655 and TM-2430.

An excellent demonstration of our TM-2655 Automatic blood pressure monitor (http://www.aandd.jp/products/medical/professional/2655.html) by Mr. Chen of Aixun attracted many visitors to our booth. We are very proud to inform you that our TM-2655 was recently validated under BHS protocol and acquired an A/A grading (http://www.aandd.jp/whatnew/2006may_tm2655_euro_doctors.htm).
Nowadays in Japan, automatic blood pressure monitors are commonly used as nursing aids: an outpatient measures blood pressure by him or herself before stepping into a doctor's office. This practice has also recently been adopted in the U. K.
Even though we have already had considerable success with the TM-2655 in China, this exhibition has alerted us to untapped potential in the Chinese market.
