This was the first time ADC/ADE attended this show and as the title above indicates, it included two exhibitions: the International Boston Seafood Show (IBSS) and Seafood Processing America (SPA). More than 3,000 people attended the IBASS and SPA attracted over 1,000 visitors.

It appeared to be one of the largest seafood shows in the world with visitors from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, China, Taiwan, India, Ireland, Peru, Iceland, New Zealand, Australia and many other countries. It is also connected with similar shows abroad, for example, Seafood Processing Europe which is Europe’s premier seafood processing fair.
Our main purpose at this show was to introduce our new products, the FS-i and HL-WP (NSF version).

NSF International, an independent, not-for-profit organization, has been committed to making the world a safer place for consumers. It is one of the most respected independent certification companies in existence today (http://www.nsf.org/).
A total of 18 weighing product manufacturers were present at these shows including Yamato, Rice Lake, and of course A&D. This was my first time to visit a seafood show in the US and I had an opportunity to meet staff from other famous scale manufacturers, who I had never met before. It was quite exciting for me to meet others in the same field from many different countries with diverse markets and/or applications…. what a wonderful world!!
Our booth was very popular and therefore very busy thanks to the kind support given by ADE’s local business partners. With the help of Mr. Bob Dumas from Commercial Scale & Balance Co., Inc. and Mr. Raymond A. Costa from Northeast Scale Company, Inc., we were able to welcome and comprehensively introduce our new products to the many visitors to our booth.

We at A&D are very conscious of food safety and consumer health and our business interests in the US food market have led us to develop and promote our products in line with NSF regulations (http://www.nsf.org/regulatory/).
We intend to continue to introduce new products certified by NSF International in order to guarantee food safety standards and encourage healthier lifestyles.
