1. Easy to wear | ||
Below shows each step for fastening the e-cuff and a conventional cuff. The e-Cuff does not require tightening the cuff after attaching it to the upper arm and patients can put the cuff on faster, possibly in half the time of conventional ones. |
||
2. Comfortable | ||
People sometimes complain about upper arm measurement, as it causes pain and discomfort because of the tight cuff. Our engineers have been researching a comfortable cuff, which causes less pain and discomfort to the upper arm. Part of the reason conventional cuffs are uncomfortable is their use of a "D" ring. To tighten the cuff to make the bladder (air bag) closer to the artery to receive a strong enough signal from blood circulation, D ring is used for the most cuffs for self measurements. Our new technology eliminates this D ring. Slide the half shell over the top of the arm and flip up the cuff end to close. That is all it takes. Nothing is easier! (Note: you may turn the cuff for proper positioning after attaching.) It is definitely more comfortable without the D ring. |
||
3. Cuff size | ||
The last benefit of the e-Cuff is a more universal size. Cuff size is determined by regulations and you need to choose a suitable sized cuff for proper readings. If you have a bigger arm than is correct for the included cuff, your reading tends to be higher. In order to avoid such errors, you sometimes need to purchase a larger (or smaller) cuff. Our e-cuff was designed to extend the cuff coverage by 4 cm. In other words, cuff range is 22 cm to 36 cm for arm circumferences. It has enough margin for the people needing borderline cuff sizes. e-Cuff is exclusively made for the UA-787, "the Monitor." After the e-Cuff is on your arm, you simply press the START button for a measurement. It does the rest. It's that simple! |
