Combination System of Metal Detector and Checkweigher

	Integrated Metal Detector and Checkweigher for Space-Efficient Dual Inspection

	WCM-62 Series is a combination system of a Metal Detector and Checkweigher, suitable for use in a variety of industries. It enables simultaneous inspection for metal contaminants and checkweighing, contributing to reduced inspection time. Additionally, it allows both inspections to be performed in a space-saving design. The system incorporates the same functions as the AD-4961A Series and AD-4976 Series.

Features

High repeatability checkweighing.

The Metal Detector automatically selects the optimal frequency from three frequency bands.

Display unit: 7” color touchscreen

Storable product info: Up to 1,000 products (including product images)

Automatic switching of product settings by reading a barcode. ^*

Remote maintenance and mirroring of machine’s screen.

Data such as Summary and Operation History can be output to a USB flash drive.

Advantages

7” color touchscreen

Intuitive user interface and high visibility LCD color touchscreen with high-speed CPU enable easier operation.
Product-selection can be interlocked between Metal Detector side and Checkweigher side.

Registration using images imported from USB flash drive

Product images can be quickly uploaded to the Checkweigher and the Metal Detector from a USB flash drive. The images can be easily registered as a thumbnail image for each product.

High repeatability checkweighing

The optimum checkweighing settings are automatically set when the weight and length of weighed products, and throughput or conveyor belt speed are input.

Automatic frequency selection system

The Metal Detector automatically selects the optimal frequency from three frequency bands (high, middle, low) for higher detection-sensitivity before the start of an inspection.
This system realizes stable inspection and better detection-sensitivity.

User management

To operate the device, user name and user level are registered.
For each user registered, you can limit the operations they can perform depending on their user level.
Inadvertent operation can be avoided by assigning each user a user level from the four levels below.

Data summary

Various summary data such as histograms (frequency including defects), X-Bar Control Chart, R Control Chart, total summaries, etc., are available.
You can visually confirm fluctuation of Inspection results and adjust your manufacturing machine accordingly.

Option for Hybrid Inspection of Metal Contaminants and Missing Metal Items

Using A&D’s unique technology, Metal Detector module can perform both metal contaminant inspection and missing inspection simultaneously on one unit. This function is useful for such as products containing iron-based oxygen absorbers and instant noodle containing metal sachet. By integrating with a Checkweigher, this combo unit enables three types of inspection.

1．Enables Contaminant Detection After Packaging

Since both missing oxygen absorber detection and contaminant inspection can be performed, the risk of contamination at the time of shipment is significantly reduced.

2. Space-Saving by Integrating Functions After Packaging

With one machine capable of performing two types of inspection, the system can be installed even in limited spaces.

3. No Need for Hardware Modification

The function can be added simply by updating the software—no changes to the machine itself are required.

PDF output function reduces report creation time

After inspection is complete, press the “PDF output” or “CSV output” key on the Summary screen of the data you want to save, and each file will be output to a USB flash drive.

History function

Inspection results can be automatically recorded in a USB flash drive during inspection.

Operational History shows a record of the changes made to the settings.
The Operation History as well as inspection History can be saved onto a USB flash drive.
The history data can be utilized as a record for HACCP management.

Automatic switching of product settings by reading a barcode

By reading the barcode on a product, the product settings on the machines can be automatically switched to those of the scanned product. ^*1 ^*2

*1 Barcode reader should be prepared by the customer.
*2 The switch must be performed only when the conveyor is stopped.

Remote maintenance and mirroring of machine’s screen

You can operate each module of Metal Detector and Checkweigher from a PC via wired LAN connection.
Offsite maintenance is also available through remote operation of the PC from another PC via an Internet connection.
It is also possible to copy and show the machine’s screen on another screen in the production room. ^*

* Necessary equipment such as a PC, monitor, cables and an Internet connection must be provided by the customer.

Output of Inspection Results via Ethernet (option)

Using the dedicated software, you can connect to a network drive such as a file server, PC, or NAS (Network Attached Storage) and output inspection results via csv.
* Optional Ethernet Inspection Result Output Software AD-4976-52 and AD-4961A-52 are required.

In addition, the wireless LAN of this product may only be used in countries or regions where it has been approved.
