Answer
Software Registration
What is the first step to start TM-2441-16, ABPM Data Manager? Top
- Please install the software to your PC using the CD-R attached with TM-2440/TM-2441. There will be a window pop-up to let you apply the user registration. We will issue you a license code per your application. After that, we will announce every update via email to all users. Please note that this software can be used with the TM243 series and TM244 series. Connect your TM243 or TM244 device before starting this software.
Software update
How do I download the latest software? Top
- When you start the TM-2441-16 software, a window pop-up for the user registration appears. Here is a link for the registration web site, please note that you need to input the serial number of either TM-2440 or TM-2441. After the registration, we will announce the software release via email when there is an update. When updating, there is no need to remove the older version of the software. If the software is uninstalled, all existing data from previous version will remain in the data folder on the C: drive; this data will not be deleted.
How do I download the USB device driver? Top
- The latest version (after ver.1.1.3) has an automatic USB device driver installation function. There are no additional messages or installation requirements for driver download when the software is installed on Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 machines.
Equipment
My PC does not recognize the ABPM device. What do I do? Top
- The USB cable attached with TM-2440/TM-2441 is for data communication. There are some USB cables used just for charging; they will not work with ABPM. We have USB cable option AX-KOUSB4C.
Can the cuff for the TM-2430 be used with the TM-2440/TM2441? Top
- We recommend to use designated cuff for TM-2440/TM-2441.
TM-CF502A Extra large cuff for left arm (36-50cm)
TM-CF402A Large cuff for left arm (28-38cm)
TM-CF302A Adult cuff for left arm (20-31cm)
TM-CF202A Small cuff for left arm (15-22cm)
TM-CF802A Adult cuff for right arm (20-31cm)
Software settings
How can I shorten the data downloading time? Top
- It takes roughly 10 minutes to download 24-hour measurement data with activity data. The activity data is recording acceleration (activity data) in 3 dimensions during each minute. If you do not need this activity data, there is a setting disable the activity data downloading: Common > Options > Data Settings > Standard. In next setting, it deletes all the previous data. If you need the activity data, please take time to download it with Data Settings > Advanced.
Is there a way to customize the preset 1 or preset 2? Top
- The presets are the same continuous use settings from the TM2430 software (Doctor Pro3). There is no customized option.
Can users create new patients before downloading data (record)? Top
- The patient information should link directly to the download data, so there is no way to prepare the patient info before data-downloading.
What is the definition of "Section Time”? (Common > Recorder) Top
- It is the start time of each section.
How can I adjust the preset size for printing? Top
- When data is displayed onscreen, please select [Layout] from the toolbar within the Data Report. You can set all of the print settings here; Print should work properly after this procedure. There are no print settings when [Print] is selected directly.
Do we still need to restart the program after each setting change? Top
- Yes, it is recommended to re-start the software after a setting change within the ‘Options’ menu from the Home screen. This is to ensure any settings take effect and any data lists and Graph/table information is also updated.
Bluetooth connection
Can I pair the TM-2441 to my computer and send the data via Bluetooth to the software? If so, how do I do this? Top
- TM-2441-16 is not available in downloading data via Bluetooth. We provide the TM-2441 Bluetooth communication specification for specific application development.
Battery
Regarding the battery for backup, how long will the lithium backup battery last, assuming it is fully charged? Top
- In the instruction manual, the Power supply listed and the battery mentioned.
Two AA batteries are for BP measurement.
The coin cell battery ML2016 is for data backup, clock settings etc.
The battery life depends on the usage.
When using new AA batteries, it last approx. 200 measurements.
For the coin cell battery, we have a test report of the battery life, the battery would last more than the expected lifetime of ABPM.
Compatibility
Is the TM-2430 compatible with the new software? Top
- TM-2430 is compatible with TM2441-16.
The USB cable for TM-2430 is unique as it converts data between RS-232C <--> USB. This cable is included in DoctorPro3 and its part number is AX-KO3057-200.
# See in the instruction manual.
If you use this cable with PC, DoctorPro3 installed, you must have the device diver as well.
In that case, you should find TM-2430 at device manager.
If you use another USB cable, it should have device driver for it.
You would find TM-2430 after installing the device driver, then you can use via TM-2441-16.
Slide SW
When using the TM-2441, I set the AUTO-Slide switch to OFF as I want to “pause” my measurements. Then, I set the AUTO-Slide-switch ON when I was ready to resume my measurements. But it didn’t keep working. Why? Top
- The AUTO-Slide-switch OFF does not work as a pause function. Once setting AUTO-Slide-switch to OFF the device resets and will operate from the Auto Start Time originally selected. (Note: This is only applicable if an Auto Start time and/or Operation time are selected at set up)
For example, if you set ‘Auto Start Time’ to 13:00, the ABPM will start at this time. If at 18:00, the AUTO-Slide-switch is moved to the OFF position because you need to remove the device. E.g. To take a bath. If the AUTO-Slide-switch is returned to the ON position 1 hour later, ABPM will not start operation until 13:00 the following day.
This will also affect the operation time (if one is set). For example, if you set Operation Time to 25:00 hours, then start ABPM at 13:00. At 18:00 AUTO-Slide-switch is moved to OFF because you need to remove device, E.g. to take a bath. If the AUTO-Slide-switch is returned to the ON position 1 hour later, the ABPM operation will finish 19:00 next day and not 14:00 as would have been the original operation period.
During measurement sessions, we do not recommend switching the AUTO-Slide to OFF as it resets the timer rather it should be set to ON until it is returned to the physician.
