Automotive Testing Expo North America 2007　A&D

	The Automotive Testing Expo in North America, one of the most famous test instruments exhibitions in the world for the automobile industry, was held from 23-27 October 2007, in Novi, Michigan, in the United States. Our U.S subsidiary, A&D Technology Inc., provided demonstrations on a wide variety of their products at the A&D booth.



	The AD5450 Diesel Engine Injection Control System: AD5450 is one of our Rapid Prototyping Controllers (RPCs). This system can control dozens of injectors in several diesel engine cylinders simultaneously. RPCs can be used for efficient diesel engine ECU development, which improves the mileage of diesel engine-powered vehicles. A&D welcomes any inquiries about this system.

	In addition to diesel engines, RPCs can control other kinds of engines powered with gasoline, biofuel and other fuels.

	CAS-II: CAS II is a real-time portable combustion analysis analyzer, which features 800MHz/16bit high-speed sampling and multiple channels-including up to 48 high-speed (880kHz) analog input channels, 16 digital input channels and 8 digital output channels, to measure the conditions of engine cylinders. CAS II calculates over 3500 combustion parameters in real time with its high-speed DSP processor.



	iTest: iTest is engine test bench control software. iTest allows the user to configure flexible engine test sequences and interface with many instruments that are used around engine test benches. 	AD5435: AD5435 is also one of our RPCs. This year, we displayed the AD5435 with miniature throttle actuators and iTest. As you can see from the picture, the RPC system can receive real engine input/ouput from the iTest's simulation engine model. The RPM virtually displays up and down changes in the acceleration of the engine on the screen, as well as real demonstrations of miniature actuators. RPC allows the user to experience engine performance without the real engine and ECU just as if you were conducting test with the actual engine. RPCs are meant for real-time vehicle simulations of the test cell.



	iCentral: iCentral is central monitoring software. iCentral is very helpful if you perform several engine tests in different test cells simultaneously. iCentral allows the user to see the progression of each engine test from their web browser.



	It seemed that there were fewer visitors at the Automobile Expo in the U.S., compared with the Automotive Expo held in China. However, A&D believes that the U.S automobile industry is very important and aims to contribute to its growth.
